Charolais top at €6,000 and average €3,350 at Tully Performance Test Sale.

First prize winner in the FBD sponsored competition to select the best overall Charolais bull in the recently completed performance test in Tully was TRIM VISROY bred by John McLoughlin, Moneymore, Trim, Co. Meath. The competition, based on visual assessment (by three independent judges) is
combined with test results and linear score figures. TRIM VISROY, is by “Dromiskin Stallone” (Dromiskin Phoenix/Erudit bloodlines on the sire side
and Dromiskin Princess/Mogador bloodlines on the dam side) and out of a
home bred dam “Trim Terri” by “Indurain”. “Dromiskin Stallone” , his sire and his dam are all bred by Paddy Farrelly, Little Rd., Dromiskin, Dundalk.
TRIM VISROY had BLUP evaluations of 133 for muscle and 130 for skeletal.
His average weight gain per day was 2.27kg.
He sold for €5,500.
Top price in the Charolais section - €6,000 went to Eddie & Dolores Hanlon, Dunlon, Dunbar Upper, Wicklow for “Dunlon Vin”. By “Doonally New” and
out of an imported dam by “Lampion” he had BLUP evaluations of 127 for
muscle and 107 for skeletal and an average weight gain per day of 2.03kg.
